They spawned, infrequently, in a capped 1&#8243; pvc cave. The spawn was large and the fry were quite small, eating vinegar eels as a first food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fry grew up in full-hardness tap water. They seem sturdy and are easy to feed, but grow very slowly.
