‘Black Neon Tetra’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s a cliche that Convict Cichlids will spawn ‘in the bag on the way home’, but these tetras literally did spawn in the bag on the way home from the store. I separated the fish and eggs and was indeed able to hatch a few of the eggs. I don’t remember if I tried isolating the adults in their own spawning tank, but I definitely had a few fry grow up alongside their parents with no input from me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is one of the species that I recommend as a good first tetra — they’re quick to spawn and the eggs and fry aren’t as touchy about water quality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
