Adding additional fish may have been a mistake since the dominant male got quite big and may have killed a few of the smaller fish. I did wind up with a nice big, healthy pair, which laid lots of great big eggs that were easy to pick from the mops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For once, my fingers weren&#8217;t a touch of death to the eggs, so quite a lot of them hatched out after a couple of weeks.
