Pseudomugil furcatus

‘fork-tailed blue-eye’

I found this species of Psuedomugil moderately more difficult to keep than the others. They’re bigger and visibly sturdier but I suffered multiple sudden die-offs; I had to re-order a new group of adults to finally get a healthy spawn.

Their actual breeding behavior was standard for a Psudomugil; they laid eggs that were pretty large and sturdy, and the fry were big enough to feed easily on hatching.
