E. dageti is an atypical Epiplatys, being a good deal smaller and a good deal braver than the larger species. They are also much more prolific. I kept a group of these in a planted tank and after removing the adults I found more fry than I knew what to do with.
This species is often recommended as a good started killifish, and I definitely agree. They’re not as dramatic-looking as larger species but are still eye-catching, and so, so easy to keep happy.
