Limia perugea

I bought two pair of these from a friend who was shutting down all his tanks. The females started dropping fry almost immediately.

Sometime shortly after I got these fish, my fish room got quite hot, maybe in the mid 80’s. These fish were in a top rack, close to the ceiling, and they did not like the warm temps — several fry and all but one adult male died over the course of a few days from the heat. Despite that, I still wound up with a few dozen fry in the tank with the male, who did not seem interested in eating them.

I’ve been feeding them live baby brine shrimp daily, plus the occasional shake of flake food. I’ve also been giving them a green been every few days; I never see them picking on the beans, but they’re always gone by morning.
